CORA RICKS

Cora Ricks, 92, of the 900 block of Albert Ave., died Dec. 29, 1995, in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

She was born in Norfolk and was a member of Rising Sun Baptist Church, Berkley.

Survivors include a daughter, Doris Hargrove of Chesapeake; a son, Roland Ricks of Norfolk; a sister, Mary Lee Wright of Norfolk; 19 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren. Other survivors include Dorothy Jean Parker of Chesapeake, Mary Ricks Clayton of Norfolk, the Rev. Leroy Ricks and Percell Ricks, both of Chesapeake, Roland Ricks Jr., Cynthia Ricks, Burna Lee Ricks and Theodore Ricks, all of Norfolk, and Angelena Ricks Lofton of Los Angeles, Calif.; two daughters-in-law, Rosa Lee Ricks of Norfolk and Thedora Ricks of Augusta, Ga.; and a sister-in-law, Mammie Ricks of Virginia Beach.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in New Berean Baptist Church, Portsmouth, by the Rev. Walter Jones. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will be at 1070 Rainey Drive, Norfolk. Fitchett Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
