Norfleet Jordan Brinkley, 89, a retired salesman, died Dec. 30, 1995, in Suffolk.
Mr. Brinkley was born in Nansemond County, Va., and was retired from Byrum Hardware after 33 years. He was the widower of Ethel M. Brinkley and Winifred C. Brinkley. He was a member of Cypress Chapel Christian Church and the Men's Bible Class and was a charter member and lifetime member of Cypress Ruritan Club.
Survivors include three sons, Stewart Brinkley of Burlington, N.C., J. Lynn Brinkley and Michael K. Brinkley, both of Suffolk; a sister, Susie Harris of Chesapeake; a brother, Charlie P. Brinkley of Portsmouth; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Cypress Chapel Christian Church by the Rev. John R. Kimball and the Rev. Dr. Willis I. Dowling. Burial will be in Cypress Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Hill Funeral Home and other times at 509 Greenway Road, Suffolk.
