A former Norfolk sheriff's deputy, already charged with sexually assaulting a young girl, was arrested Sunday and charged with assaulting three other children.
The arrest of Chevy R. Shivaee, 57, who was known to neighborhood youths as the ``Candyman,'' came just two days after his first arrest. He has denied any wrongdoing.
Police spokesman Larry Hill said the new charges stemmed from information generated after news reports of Shivaee's original arrest.
Shivaee is scheduled to be arraigned on the new charges at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
He was first arrested on Friday and charged with sexually assaulting a 9-year-old Norfolk girl.
