Rita J. Foreman
NORFOLK - Rita J. Foreman, 51, of the 6200 block of Tidewater Drive, left this world on Dec. 30, 1995.
Rita was born in Atlantic City, N.J., and was a resident of Norfolk. Rita was a former employee of the Auto Trader and Palace Jewelers. She also was an instructor of country dance for the City Parks and Recreation Department.
She is survived by her husband, William C. Foreman; two daughters, Patricia Cheruka and Jerry Cheruka; one son, Nick Cheruka; one adopted daughter, Crystal Taylor; one daughter-in-law, Michelle Cheruka, all of Norfolk; two stepsons, Wade Foreman of Virginia Beach and Rick Foreman of Portsmouth; two brothers, John Smith of Margate, N.J., and Kenneth Smith of Caldwell, Idaho; two granddaughters, Tiffany and Lauren Cheruka of Norfolk; and one grandson, Nicholas Foreman of Portsmouth.
A funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Carl L. Cooper at First Church of God, Granby Street at Bayview Blvd. in Norfolk, at 3 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Smith & Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, from 7 to 8 p.m. today.
We have lost a devoted wife, mother and friend. We shall forever miss her.
