John David Fritzinger, 73, of the 400 block of Dup-lin St., died Dec. 30, 1995, in his residence.
Mr. Fritzinger, a retired book-keeper, was self-employed. He was a native of Norfolk and a member of St. Paul's Church in Norfolk. He was a choir member in his youth. Mr. Fritzinger was an avid golfer and member of Bow Creek Golf Association. He also served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a member of Moose Lodge (NU)39.
Survivors include his wife, Connie Fritzinger; three sons, John David Fritzinger Jr. and his wife, Mary, of Goldsboro, N.C., Dwayne Fritzinger of Moorehead City, N.C., Derek Fritzinger of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren, Angela Lewis of Moorehead City and Jeff Fritzinger of Goldsboro; and two step-grandchildren, Chris and John Corbetto of Goldsboro.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Woodlawn Cemetery, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Warren Wilson. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, Virginia Beach, in charge.
