WILLIAM J. ROBINSON

William J. Robinson, of 944 A. Barnwell Lane, died Dec. 30, 1995, in his residence.

Mr. Robinson, a laborer, worked for Globe Steel. He was a native of South Burnwick County, Va., and a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, Bells Mill. He was a church custodian.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Spratley; three daughters, Nellie Mae Jones of Washington, D.C., Jerlean Wingate of Chesapeake, Iris P. Cunningham of Orlando, Fla.; two sons, James H. Robinson of Brooklyn, N.Y., Johnnie S. Robinson of Washington, D.C.; a sister, Agnes Steward of Baltimore, M.D.; a brother, Travis Robinson of Baltimore; 19 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, by the Rev. Kim Brown. Burial will be in Gilfield Baptist Church Cemetery. The remains will be ready today at 3 p.m. The remains will be taken to the church at 9:30 a.m. The family will assemble at the residence for the procession at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, in charge.
