I object to the ``all-male military'' letter (Dec. 15): It's apparent that women and homosexuals are the least of our military's problems.
With the trial of three U.S. servicemen for the rape of a 12-year-old Japanese girl and the murder several months ago of a young woman by servicemen stationed here, the rationale of ``a tough man focused on protecting mom and the kids'' just doesn't fly.
Horrendous crimes such as these are shattering the good image and high regard that U.S. servicemen previously held at home and abroad.
The military truly is out of control. It seems that many of our servicemen have forgotten the most important laws of all: Love the Lord your God with all your heart. . . . Love your neighbor as yourself.
