A HOOTERS REBUTTAL

Martha Weiss' (``Let's keep Hooters Girls girls,'' letter Dec. 17) made one point that I agree with: ``I have no problem with men in the workplace.'' However, I prefer working with men who see me as a professional co-worker, rather than as an object.

Quoting from Ms. Weiss' letter, ``What women are not supposed to have a place to work where they are celebrated as women?'' Why is it that in order for a woman to be ``celebrated,'' she woman has to parade around in half-shirts and revealing ``second-skin'' shorts? This attitude makes women work harder to gain the respect that should come naturally.

A woman should be ``celebrated'' not only for her outside beauty but also for her intelligence and inner beauty.
