IKE TAYLOR JR.

Ike Taylor Jr., 52, of the 2900 block of Gazel St., died Dec. 30, 1995, in Sentara Nursing Center.

He was a former employee of Winn Nursery Inc., Norfolk. He was a native of Norfolk and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church, Chesapeake, where he was a member of the male usher board and also a member of the Sons of Norfolk.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Willie Mae Taylor; daughter, Deborah Taylor Chapman of Norfolk; son, Jerome Wideman of Norfolk; stepmother, Mamie E. Taylor of Norfolk; sister, Jewel Taylor of Norfolk; brother, Terrance Taylor of Norfolk; nine grandchildren; niece, Destiny Taylor of Norfolk; and a host of loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Mae Cherry, and his father, Ike Taylor Sr.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. Jake Manley in Bethany Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Friends will assemble with the family at 813 Lincoln St., Norfolk, Thursday at 10 a.m. for the funeral procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service, Norfolk, is in charge of the arrangements.
