Blanche Modlin Long, 93, died Monday in Roanoke Chowan Hospital, Ahoskie, N.C.
Mrs. Long was a native of Hertford County and was the widow of Charlie S. Long. She was an active member of the Conway Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Wayland E. Long and his wife Anna of Conway; one daughter, Lois L. Edwards and her husband Robert of Pendleton; eight grandchildren; and twelve great- grandchildren.
Graveside services will be conducted today at 2 p.m. in the Severn Cemetery, Severn, N.C., by the Rev. James Hester and Philip Thompson. Memorial contributions may be made to the Conway Baptist Church and Roberts Chapel Baptist Church, Pendleton. Bridgers Funeral Home, Conway, is in charge of arrangements.
