Louis Louvett, 73, of the 1300 block of Hoover Ave., died Jan. 1, 1996.
He was a retired sheet metal roofer for J.D. Miles and Son Roofing where he had worked for 27 years. He was a native of Portsmouth and was a member of South Norfolk Baptist Church, Chesapeake. Mr. Louvett, a veteran of the U.S. Army, served in World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley A. Louvett; two daughters, Teresa McDaniel of Phoenix, Ariz., Pamela Adams of Chesapeake; two sons, Gary W. Grey and Louis E. Louvett II, both of Chesapeake; sister, Elsie Roberts of Chesapeake; grandchildren, John Grey, Danny McDaniel, Bryan Grey, Ashley Grey, Scott Adams, and Kaycee Adams.
A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Frank Hughes Jr. in Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel. Burial is in Riverside Memorial Park, Norfolk. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, on Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m., and at 3111 S. Monterey Drive, Chesapeake, at other times.
