Gaye A. Phillips, 71, loving mother and grandmother, died Jan. 1, 1996, in her residence.
Mrs. Phillips, a homemaker, was the widow of Charles H. Phillips. She was a native of Madison County, N.C. Mrs. Phillips was a devoted Christian and member of Rock Church. She was a contributer to many charitable organizations, and a member of 1000 Club at C.B.N.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda P. Lloyd of Chesapeake; a son, Jack D. Phillips of Wilmington, N.C.; a sister, Geneva Robinson of Asheville, N.C.; four grandchildren, Jared N. Lloyd and Danielle E. Lloyd, both of Chesapeake, Traci Phillips of Columbia, S.C., Torri DallaVilla of Portsmouth; four great-grandchildren, Victoria DallaVilla, Matthew DallaVilla, Aaron DallaVilla, and Jonathan DallaVilla; a brother-in-law, Walter B. Phillips of Asheville, N.C.; and sister-in-law, Thelma Phillips of Marion, N.C.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Burial will be in Princess Anne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday 7 to 9 p.m.
