Edna Adams Davis, a registered nurse, of 104 Willowood Drive, Apt. C-2, died Jan. 2, 1996.
Mrs. Davis, a native of Salemburg, N.C., had resided in Norfolk since 1941. She was a member of Talbot Park Baptist Church, and past superintendent of the Junior Department of the Sunday school for many years. She was a longtime member of the Chancel Choir and the church's Flower Committee. She touched and molded many people's lives in a positive way.
Survivors include her husband, U.S. Navy retired Lt. Cmdr. Loyd L. Davis; two sons, James E. Adams Sr. and Jerry W. Adams, both of Virginia Beach; a sister, Lonie Alma Holland; and two half-sisters, Martha Lowe and Agnes Tanner, all of Salemburg; five grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her grandson, James Michael Adams.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday in Talbot Park Baptist Church by Dr. Harry T. Dixon Jr., the Rev. Keith Martin and Dr. Fred Laughon. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery following the church service. The family will receive visitors Thursday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel. Memorial donations may be made to Talbot Park Baptist Church.
