Ernest Lee ``Smokey'' Hunt, 14, of the 3100 block of Sir Kay Court, died Jan. 1, 1996, in Norfolk.
He was a native of Fayetteville, N.C., and a student at Deep Creek Middle School. He was a Christian. He was a member of the National Honor Society and the Lake Kennedy Youth Group. He loved basketball and he loved to cook.
Survivors include his parents, Edna R. Floyd and Larry D. Floyd Sr., both of Chesapeake; three brothers, Larry D. Floyd Jr. of Augusta, Ga., Chantalle Hunt and Nickitar Hunt, both of Chesapeake; maternal grandmother, Erna Dukes of Pennsylvania; grandfather, Earnest A. Lee of Norfolk; stepgrandmother, Margaret E. Lee of Norfolk; and a host of other devoted relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Olive Grove Baptist Church, 1034 Albert Ave., Norfolk, by the Rev. Harry Davis. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Family and friends will assemble at 3104 Sir Kay Court, Camelot Section, Chesapeake, on Saturday at 11 a.m. for the funeral procession to the church.
