Kenneth Douglas Winchester, 73, of the 4200 block of Greenwood Drive, died Jan. 2, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
He was a native of Fitchville, Conn., and the widower of Frances Josephine Winchester. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and Pratt and Whitney where he worked as an inspector. Mr. Winchester was an Air Force veteran of World War II. He belonged to the Air Force Association and was a member of V.F.W.
He is survived by a son, John D. Winchester of Putnam, Conn.; daughter-in-law, Gladys C. Winchester of Chesapeake; sister, Carol A. Snow of Waterford, Conn.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, today and Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
