Hazel Mae Duck Gibson, 69, of 900 Kirk Road, died Jan. 3, 1996.
She was a native of Fruitland, Md., and the daughter of the late John Bryant and Hattie May Rose Duck. She was a member of Believers Baptist Church in Chesapeake.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Lilton Gibson; two sons, Elwood Dawson Powell of Portsmouth, William Bryant Powell of Carrollton; a sister, Beatrice Constant of Suffolk; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Believers Baptist Church by the Rev. Scott Ranck with burial in Newman Memorial Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home, from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
