Walter Surgart Ritter, 89, formerly of Virginia Beach, died Dec. 22, 1995.
Born and raised in Massillon, Ohio, he served as plant manager for Enterprise Aluminum Company in Oneonta, N.Y., and retired from the company in Eatonton, Ga., in 1970. He resided in Venice, Fla., for 12 years before moving to Virginia Beach in 1981. This past August he moved to Canton.
He is survived by his wife, Letha Moyer Ritter; a daugther, Jane Winkler; a son, Terry Ritter; four granddaughters; three stepgrandchildren; and three great-grandsons.
A memorial service will be held on Jan. 20, in Saint Jacobs Luthern Churcin in Massillon. Memorial donations can be made to Concerned Citizens for Special People, 1133 Cypress Point Way, Virginia Beach, Va. 23455.
