Lydia Goopio Marquez, 67, died Jan. 2, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
She was a native of the Philippines and a Catholic. She was a member of Jesus Light of the World Community.
Survivors include three daughters, Flordeliza Loyola of Virginia Beach and her husband, Rogelio Loyola, Iluminada Payumo and Nenita Tan of the Philippines; a son, Ricardo Sta. Ana of Virginia Beach; a brother, Flavio Goopio of the Philippines; six grandchildren, Justin Loyola of Virginia Beach, Christopher and Brian Payumo of New Jersey, Ivan Payumo of the Philippines, Ira and Rachael Sta. Ana of the Philippines; and several nieces and nephews.
A Christian funeral liturgy will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Ascension Catholic Church, Virginia Beach, by Father James E. Parke. The family will be at the Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel, from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Friday.
