The City of Norfolk is holding a public meeting on a Historic Architectural Survey planned for 1996.
The Department of City Planning and Codes Administration will hold a public input meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in City Council Chambers, 11th Floor of Norfolk City Hall.
Citizen input will be collected about areas or structures that may be eligible for special designation as historic or architecturally significant properties. City officials will be on hand to explain the process, which is funded through a cost-share grant between the Virginia Department of Historic Resources, a federal Community Development Block Grant and the city.
To qualify for historic designation, a structure must be a minimum of 50 years old and represent either an architecturally or historically significant trait. No documentation is necessary to nominate a structure or property at the meeting. For more information or to register to speak at the meeting, call Mary B. Miller, 664-4758. by CNB
