The Great Bridge wrestling team rolled to its second tournament championship in less than a week with four champions and 274 1/2 points last week at the Hornet Holiday Classic at Deep Creek.
The tournament-hardened Wildcats, along with three other Southeastern District schools, will gear up for Virginia Duals, Jan. 12-13 at the Hampton Coliseum.
The Duals will feature three separate high school tournaments as well as a college tournament.
Great Bridge and Western Branch will compete in the National High School bracket, while Oscar Smith and Deep Creek battle through the Top Gun Division.
Several local high school graduates, including 1995 state champion Byron Tucker of Western Branch, will compete in the college portion of the tourney. Tucker is a freshman starter at Oklahoma. ILLUSTRATION: HIGH SCHOOL WRESTLING
