Evelyn Joyce Marshall, 65, of the 1100 block of Baskerville Lane, died Jan. 3, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
Mrs. Marshall, a native of Goldsboro, N.C., was a member of West Park Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, John R. Marshall; two daughters, Patricia VanDorn of Portsmouth, Terrie Jackson of Virginia Beach; a son, David L. VanDorn of Nokesville, Va.; three stepdaughters, Judith Gillikin, Juanita MacDonald, Jean Wood, all of Chesapeake; a stepson, John R. Marshall Jr. of Edenton, N.C.; a sister, Helen Bovinette of Chesapeake; a brother, Clarence Sills of Chesapeake; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, by the Rev. Keith Lewis. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
