FRANKLIN E. ANDREWS SR.

Franklin Eugene ``Stoney'' Andrews Sr., 80, formerly of 131 Jamestown Ave., died Jan. 3, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.

Mr. Andrews, a retired Portsmouth fireman, was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was a 50-year member of the Portsmouth Naval Masonic Lodge (NU)100.

Survivors include a daughter, Ginny Kaylor of Chesapeake; two sons, F.E. ``Dutch'' Andrews and Thomas A. Andrews, both of Portsmouth; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Charles ``Gump'' Andrews.

The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Calvary Baptist Church by the Rev. Philip Parker. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery with Masonic rites. The family will be at Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, from 7 to 8 p.m. today and at (NU)9 Warwick St. at other times.
