Inez White Jewell, 90, formerly of 5052 Bay Circle, died Jan. 4, 1996, in Maryview Nursing Care Center.
Mrs. Jewell, the widow of William T. Jewell, was a member of Churchland Baptist Church. She was a 50-year member of Esther Chapter (NU)37 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a native of Portsmouth.
Survivors include a daughter, Jean J. Johnson and her husband, Mason Johnson, of Gaithersburg, Md.; a son, William A. Jewell and his wife, Jane Jewell, of Portsmouth; four sisters, Mrs. Margaret Brown, Mrs. Phyllis Spivey, Mrs. Audrey Daughtrey and Mrs. Alice Hanes, all of Portsmouth; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Maryview Nursing Center by the Rev. Ronald R. Rice. The family will be at Loving Funeral Home, Churchland, from 7 to 8 p.m. today. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Maryview Nursing Care Center Building Fund, 4775 Bridge Road, Suffolk, Va. 23435.
