ELIZABETH A. SICKEL

Elizabeth Ann Sickel, 77, of Ferry Plantation Circle, died Jan. 3, 1996, in her home. She had been afflicted with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) for the last nine years. She was born in Philadelphia, Pa., on Dec. 26, 1918.

Elizabeth was a member of Eastern Shore Chapel (Episcopal) in Virginia Beach and she was a volunteer with the American Red Cross dating back to 1945. She was also a member of the Retired Officers Wives Society and the Retired Marine Officers Wives Society.

Survivors include her husband, Col. H. Marshall Sickel, U.S. Marine Corps (Ret.); a daughter, Marsha Ann Sickel; and a son, John Marshall Sickel, both of Boston, Mass.

There will be no viewing and a memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Eastern Shore Chapel Building Fund, or to the Local Branch of the Muscular Dystrophy Association. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, are handling arrangements.
