SHOOTING SUSPECTS SOUGHT

Police are looking for the assailants of a 40-year-old California man who was killed by gunfire early Thursday.

Paul Robinson was walking in the 9600 block of Elnora Ave. about 1:47 a.m. when he was shot in the chest, police spokesman Larry Hill said. He died at the scene.

Police are searching for a dark Jeep Cherokee occupied by several black men and one white or Hispanic male.

The vehicle was spotted about an hour later at the scene of an armed robbery in the 3900 block of Pleasant Ave., Hill said.

In that incident, a 21-year-old man was robbed while he was walking down the street. His name was not released.
