LEONA SHIPP

Leona Shipp, of the 900 block of Elkin St., died Jan. 3, 1996.

She was a native of Princess Anne County and a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street, Norfolk, where she was a choir member.

Survivors include two daughters, Jennette P. Gregory of Virginia Beach and Shirley M. Pinkney of Bronx, N.Y.; four sons, Clarence E. Perry, Elder William H. Perry, both of Virginia Beach, John T. Perry Jr. and Harold Barnes, both of New York; a sister, Katherine Clark of Norfolk; 10 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. today in Upper Room Church on the Rock C.O.G.I.C., 448 Rudder Road. Burial will be in Saints Rest Cemetery, Virginia Beach. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Norfolk Chapel and from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Community Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel. The family will be at 428 North Oceana Blvd., Virginia Beach.
