Edward Woodrow Pittman, 82, of the 800 block of Homecrest Blvd., died Jan. 8, 1996, in his residence.
He was a retired security guard for Shaffer Detective Agency. He was a native of Norfolk and the widower of Hazel Elizabeth Pittman.
He is survived by a daughter, Dorothy P. Whitehurst of Chesapeake; a son, Franklin W. Pittman of Chesapeake; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday by the Rev. George T. Mitchell in Riverside Memorial Park. Graham Funeral Home, South Norfolk Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
