FIRST NIGHT DELIGHT IN NORFOLK

Recently the first First Night delighted our group of four not-quite-senior citizens as we rode the TRT shuttle from Military Circle to Harbor Park, boarded the trolley and then walked the foggy streets of Norfolk from site to site.

From ethereal flute sounds to the clang of real steel rapiers on the knoll, the sounds of performance were varied and entertaining. The great variety of things to hear, see and do made the evening a smorgasbord that we will seek out year after year.

Congratulations to Norfolk for taking the step into something new. The trolley routes and timing will sort out with experience and the required advance notice in local newspapers (greater than three days required for us long-term planners) will be boosted by word-of-mouth promotion. Our voices will be part of the chorus.
