Beunie Virginia Carr Rose, loving wife, mother and grandmother, 76, of 31315 Harvest Drive, died Jan. 8, 1996, in Southampton Memorial Hospital, Franklin.
She was a homemaker and a native of Crewe, Va., and the daughter of the late Dollie Virginia Rhodes Carr and Chester L. Carr. Mrs. Rose was a member of the Colosse Baptist Church, Isle of Wight County.
She was predeceased by a brother, Delman R. Carr.
She is survived by her husband, William H. Rose; two sons, Danny C. Rose of Chesapeake and Philip R. Rose and his wife, Peggy V. Rose, of Carrsville; a sister, Altha Butler West of Colosse; four grandchildren, Sonya J. Rose Hall, Sherry L. Rose, Timothy C. Rose, and William Brent Rose.
The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Steve Bradshaw in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home, Suffolk. Entombment will be in the Carr Family Mausoleum in Colosse Baptist Church Cemetery, Isle of Wight County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at the residence and suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Colosse Baptist Church.
