RANDALLSTOWN, Md. - Cantor Ishai Ben Asher, 77, died Jan. 6, 1996, in a Baltimore hospital.
Cantor Asher was the cantor at Chevra Thilim Synagogue for 30 years.
Survivors include his wife, Zelda Asher; a daughter, Annette A. Abrons of Chicago; a son, Nathan L. Asher of Norfolk; and four grandchildren.
A graveside service to be conducted by Rabbi Israel Bornstein has been set for today at 3 p.m. in Chevra Thilim Cemetery. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is in charge. The family will be at 438 Shenandoah Street, Portsmouth.
