MYRTLE T. ADAMS

Myrtle Mae ``Polly'' Twine Adams, 69, of the 3300 block of Matoaka Road, died Jan. 9, 1996, in Obici Hospital.

She was a homemaker and a native of Gates County, N.C. She was also a member of Wilroy Baptist Church, Suffolk. She was a member of the XYZ Sunday School Class.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Eston Adams Jr.; two daughters, Brenda S. Smith and her husband, Sammy, of Franklin, and Patricia A. Powers and her husband, Andy, of Chesapeake; three sons, Mike Adams and his wife, Diane, of Carrsville, Randy W. Adams of Suffolk and Billy R. Adams of Revere, Mass.; two brothers, J.C. Twine of Chesapeake and Robert Twine of Arrowhead Beach, N.C.; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl Owens Twine and James Curtis Twine Sr.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Carter Dey in Wilroy Baptist Church, Suffolk. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will receive friends at the Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home today from 7 to 8 p.m. and other times at the residence and suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Wilroy Baptist Church Building Fund, 306 Williams Road, Suffolk, Va. 23434.
