Jo Ann Penland Buxton, 60, of the 3400 block of Newcastle Road, died Jan. 7, 1996, in her residence.
She was a native of Greenville, S.C.
Survivors include her husband, Frank L. Buxton; a daughter, Lynn Thorn of Raleigh, N.C.; two sons, Les Buxton of Orlando, Fla., Greg Buxton of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Lynnhaven Chapel, by the Rev. Bruce Tuttle. Mrs. Buxton will be cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to Little Neck Rescue Squad, 855 Little Neck Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23452.
