WOOD R. FINCHAM

Wood Ray Fincham, 71, of the 1100 block of Virginia Ave., died Jan. 8, 1996, in a Chesapeake hospital.

He was retired and self-employed. He was a native of Rappahannock County, Va., and a Baptist. He was an Army veteran of World War II and he received the Victory Ribbon.

He is survived by his wife, May B. Fincham; two daughters, Angela Jones of Virginia Beach and Shelia Wilson of Roanoke Rapids, N.C.; two stepdaughters, Virginia Castello and Vickie Sparrow, both of Chesapeake; three sons, Gregory Fincham of Jacksonville, Fla., Danny Fincham of Virginia Beach and Woody Fincham of Chesapeake; two stepsons, Jody Clewis of Lafayette, La., and Alvin Clewis of Chesapeake; two brothers, Luther C. Fincham of Chesapeake and Edward Fincham of Frederick County, Va.; 11 grandchildren; foster daughter, Sarah Hebert of Chesapeake; and dear friends, Dr. and Mrs. W. Stanley Jennings of Chesapeake.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday by Pastor Vinnie Loschiale in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel. Burial is in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m.
