Daisy Mae Marlowe, 82, died Jan. 8, 1996, in a Portsmouth nursing home.
She was the widow of Eugene Holton Marlowe and was Baptist. She was native of Catawba, N.C.
Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Mayo of Tampa, Fla., and Linda McAlpine of Portsmouth; two sons, Jerry Marlowe of Chesapeake and Donnie Marlowe of Portsmouth; five sisters, Bertie McCreary, Mary Young, Dorothy Goodnight, Pauline Sherrill and Martha Pope, all of Catawba; two brothers, Jack Moose and Watt Moose of Catawba; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Phyllis Russell and a grandson, Ronnie Russell.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. Alan G. Moore in Loving Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the funeral home today from 7 to 8 p.m.
