Rebecca Judkins Middleton, 72, of the 400 block of Providence Road, left her earthly home to be with God on Jan. 8, 1996 in Chesapeake General Hospital.
She was born and educated in Norfolk and worked as a certified nursing assistant before retiring from Camelot Hall Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Paul Christian Methodist Episcopal Church where she was in the Senior Choir.
Survivors include her husband, Johnnie D. Middleton Sr.; three daughters, Stephanie D. Newton, Gillian G. Middleton and Deborah A. Ross of Chesapeake; one son, Johnnie D. Middleton of Virginia Beach; nine grandchidlren and a multitude of adoring friends who will miss her dearly.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday with the Rev. T.R. McKinney in St. Paul CME Church, 310 E. Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble at 404 Providence Road, Chesapeake, on Thursday at noon for the procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service in charge.
