HELEN S. HARPER

Helen Senechek Harper, 72, of the 800 block of Grosvenor Court, died Jan. 8, 1996, in Sentara Bayside Hospital, of natural causes.

She was a retired dietary supervisor for Chesapeake General Hospital where she had worked for 10 years. She was a native of Manchester, N.H., and was a member of St. Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church in New Hampshire. She had just celebrated her 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 31, 1995.

She is survived by her husband, Paul Matthew Harper Jr. of the home; daughter, Barbara L. Ahmada of Virginia Beach; son, Paul Matthew Harper III of Norfolk; four sisters, Katherine Kuhn of Hooksett, N.H., Eva Keller of Owensboro, Ky., Olga Downing of Derry, N.H., Sue Horne of Hooksett, N.H., Mary Therian of Connecticut; brother, Robert Senechek of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Yvonne Michelle Sullivan, Joann Burkett, Laura Ann Harper, Paul Matthew Harper IV, Theresa Pearl Jernigan, Michael Harper, Christian Dawn Harper and Charity Grace Harper.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Theodore Panchak in Rosewood Memorial Park, Virginia Beach. The family will receive friends at Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and other times at the residence. The family will receive friends after the graveside service Thursday in the family lounge of the funeral home.
