A single-vehicle crash Tuesday killed a 48-year-old Virginia Beach man near the intersection of Salem and Landstown roads, police said.
The driver of a small pickup lost control on a Salem Road curve around 7:45 p.m., police said. The truck struck a tree. The driver, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, where he died. Police are withholding his name until his family is notified.
