GHENT NEIGHBORHOOD LEAGUE

Transportation issues affecting Ghent will be discussed at The Ghent Neighborhood League's general membership meeting, 7 p.m. Monday at the Chrysler Museum Auditorium, 245 W. Olney Road.

Truck rerouting, doubling the Midtown Tunnel, a third Hampton Roads crossing and the proposed light rail transit system from Virginia Beach to the Naval base via downtown and Ghent will be discussed. A vote is scheduled after a presentation by NORTRAN members. NORTRAN is a group of civic league members who have been gathering information about transportation matters in the city of Norfolk.
