EDDIE E. GRIFFIN

Eddie Eugene ``Ed'' Griffin of the 3900 block of Schooner Trail, a retired janitor, died Jan. 9, 1996 in Portsmouth.

Mr. Griffin was born in Norfolk and was a Methodist. He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Exchange after 25 years.

Survivors include a sister, Doris Bobbitt Goodrich, and a brother, Robert Lee Griffin, both of Chesapeake; two great-nieces; two great-nephews; a brother-in-law, Lorenzo Goodrich of Chesapeake; aunts, Shirley Eckin of Chesapeake, Virginia Small of Norfolk, Lucille Foreman of Chesapeake, Rosalyn Ellis of Portsmouth, Tillen Allen of Smithfield; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in Metropolitan Funeral Service Chapel by the Rev. C.E. Eason. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at 2600 Cayce Drive, Chesapeake, at 11 a.m. Saturday for the procession to the chapel.
