Joseph V. Bright, 68, of 100 block of Webster Ave., died Jan. 7, 1996.
He was retired from the Portsmouth Naval Regional Medical Center after 42 years and was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Bright; three daughers, Joan Bright, Valaidya Dunn, Rozelynd Bright; three sons, Carl Bright, Michael Brignt, and Zachary Bright; two sisters, Lillian Scott and Dorothy Hinton; 22 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday by the Rev. Paricia Coker-Bell in Zion Baptist Church. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Chesapeake. The body will be placed in church at 1:30 p.m. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
