James ``Jim'' Caleb Bailey of the 500 block of Waters Road, died Jan. 9, 1996, in Hill Haven Nursing Center, Virginia Beach.
Mr. Bailey was born in Norfolk County and was retired from Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. He was a member of New Willow Grove Baptist Church and the Deacon Board and Willow Grove Masonic Lodge (NU)198.
Survivors include his wife, Nollie M. Bailey; two daughters, Ethel B. Powell of Chesapeake and Shirley M. Ford of Brooklyn, N.Y.; two sons, Belvin B. Bailey of Chesapeake and Joseph C. Bailey of North Ridge, Calif.; two sisters, Annie Mason of Chesapeake and Nancy Ebron of Brooklyn; three stepbrothers, Alexander Harper, Charlie Harper and George Harper of Chesapeake; 21 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and many other surviving relatives and friends.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in New Willow Grove Baptist Church by the Rev. Kevin White. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Fitchett Funeral Home is in charge.
