Rosa M. Bates, 73, of the 1200 block of Mount Vernon Ave., died Jan. 8, 1996.
She was born in Roxobel, N.C., and was a dedicated member of New Mount Nebo RZUA Church.
Survivors include her husband, Vincent R. Bates; four daughters, Doreen Walls, Rosa D. Davis, Rosetta B. Brown and Joan P. Artis; two sons, William E. Bates and Vincent M. Bates; a sister, Lillian Speights; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and an aunt, Clara Flood.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in New Mount Nebo RZUA Church by Dr. David A. Allen Sr. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge. The body will be placed in the church at 10 a.m.
