JOE L. WALLER

Joe Louis Waller of the 1100 block of Beautiful St., died Jan. 9, 1996.

Mr. Waller was born in Halifax County, Va., and was retired from the city of Virginia Beach after 30 years. He was a member of Flames of Fire COGIC and its Trustee and Usher boards.

Survivors include his wife, Clara J. Waller; five daughters, Elizabeth Hoggany, Christine Waller, Ella Freeman and Elaine Moore, all of Virginia Beach, and Lola Johnson of Norfolk; a stepdaughter, Dionne Cross of Virginia Beach; a son, Joseph J. Waller of Virginia Beach; two stepsons, Darrel Cross and Detrell L. Cross, both of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Virginia L. Little, Willie Bell Brown and Rachel Brown, all of Virginia Beach; five brothers, Haywood Waller, Arthur Waller, Earnest Waller, Mitchell Waller, all of Virginia Beach, James Waller of Newark, Del.; 15 grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

A funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in New Jerusalem Church of God in Christ by Elder Jerry Brown. Burial will be in Colonial Grove Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Virginia Beach, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to the building fund of Flames of Fire COGIC, 432 N. Witchduck Road, Virginia Beach, Va. 23462.
