Mr. William W. ``Bud'' Butler, 88, died Wednesday, Jan. 10, 1996, in James River Convalescent Home.
A native of Isle of Wight, he had been a Peninsula resident for over 55 years. Mr. Butler retired from Newport News Shipbuilding & Dry Dock Co. in 1965.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Martha Elizabeth Oliver Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Peninsula Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday in Peninsula Memorial Park by Rev. Richard Cline.
