CHARLES RAFAL

Charles Rafal, 76, of the 6400 block of Crescent Way, died Jan. 10, 1996, in a local nursing home.

Mr. Rafal was a native of Norfolk. He was the widower of Miriam Rafal. He was a member of Temple Israel and its Mens Club in Norfolk. He was also a member of Brith Sholom.

Survivors include a sister, Shirly R. Friedman of Norfolk; three brothers, Mischa Rafal of St. Petersburg, Fla., Martin Rafal of Detroit, Mich., and Archie Rafal of Dayton, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 14, 1996, in Forest Lawn Cemetery by Rabbi Michael E. Panitz and Cantor Yael Fischman. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel, are handling the arrangements. The family will recieve friends at Shirly R. Friedman's home at 958 Armfield Circle Apt. 101, Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to Beth Sholom Home of Eastern Virginia or to a charity of choice.
