Jane Cochran Roberts, 75, of the 5600 block of Woodgreen Road, died Jan. 11, 1996, in Sentara Leigh Memorial Hospital.
She was a great mother. She was a home-loving person who was helpful and thought about others before herself. She worked as a homemaker and was a native of Charlottesville, Va. She was of the Episcopal faith.
She is survived by her husband, Albert Henry Roberts of the home; stepdaughter, Frances East of Fairfield, Calif.; son, John Cochran Roberts and wife, Cynthia Ann Hess Roberts of Virginia Beach; grandson, Matthew John Roberts of Virginia Beach; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Jonathan Beck in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to Davis Corner Rescue Squad Station (NU)2, Virginia Beach.
