Police are still searching for the driver of a car that struck and killed a pedestrian on Jan. 1 on Virginia Beach Boulevard near Aragona Boulevard.
Ralph Leroy Dunham Jr., of the 4800 block of Virginia Beach Blvd., was killed about 7 p.m. as he was crossing Virginia Beach Boulevard. The impact knocked Dunham into the path of another car, which dragged him about 200 feet. He died at the scene.
Police said a compact, champagne-colored car struck Dunham, then drove away. It was occupied by at least two people.
The front seat passenger may have blond hair.
Anyone with information about the car or its occupants should call Crime Solvers at 427-0000.
Investigators reached Dunham's sister out of state, but they believe he may have another relative living in Hampton Roads.
