Gladys Daniels Mack, 66, died Jan. 8, 1996, in New Hanover Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Mack, a retired school teacher, worked for New Hanover County Board of Education for 40 years. She had been retired for two years. Mrs. Mack was a native of Philadelphia, Pa., and a member of Saint Stephen African Methodist Episcopal Church, Wilmington. She graduated from Booker T. Washington High School in Norfolk and attended Norfolk State University. She graduated from A & T State University, Greensboro, N.C. She was a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel Mack; two sisters-in-law, Ernestine Highsmith of Wilmington, Elizabeth Upperman of Neptune, N.J.; three brothers-in-law, James Mack of Newark, Del., George Mack of Woodbridge, Va., Ernest Walker of Wilmington; an aunt, Gladys D. Pretlow of Norfolk.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. today in Saint Stephen African Methodist Episcopal Church by the Rev. Johnny R. Calhoun. Burial will be in Pine Forest Cemetery. Information was provided by Pretlow's Funeral Home.
