Lorene Davis Heath, 97, of the 600 block of Redgate Ave., a retired legal secretary, died Jan. 11, 1996, in her residence.
She was a legal secretary for over 50 years and most recently with the law firm of Wilcox and Savage when she retired. Mrs. Heath was a native of Norfolk, Va. She was the widow of William Rufus Heath. She was the oldest living member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Norfolk and was formerly in its choir and was a member of its 2nd Circle.
Mrs. Heath and her husband were avid bridge players and were both Life Master Bridge Tournament players. She formerly studied voice in New York.
Survivors include a daughter, Lorene Davis Heath Potter and her husband Milton Grosvenor Potter Jr., M.D., both of Buffalo, N.Y.; a cousin, Dr. Clyde W. Brockett Jr. of Norfolk; four grandchildren, Abigail P. Hutchinson, Milton Grosvenor Potter III, Rebecca P. Glikbarg and David H. Potter; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A church service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Episcopal Church by the Rev. Hugh C. White III. Burial will be in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Norfolk. The family will receive friends in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, Monday afternoon from 3 to 4 p.m. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk, will be handling the arrangements.
