Junius Lee Cannady Sr., of the 800 block of 16th St., died Jan. 11, 1996.
Mr. Cannady was born in Princess Anne County and was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Virginia Beach.
Survivors include two daughters, Theresa Sawyer Cannady and Rebbeca Cannady, both of Virginia Beach; two sons, Junius L. Cannady Jr. and Curtis Cannady, both of Virginia Beach; mother, Ruth B. Cannady of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Virginia L. Cannady and Shirley Hudspeth, both of Virginia Beach, and Helen M. Peyton of Durham, N.C.; two brothers, James L. Cannady of Virginia Beach and Curtis L. Cannady of Wilson, N.C.; six grandchildren; an aunt, Marie Braswell of Wilson, N.C.; an uncle, William Sutton of Virginia Beach; a sister-in-law, Helen Cannady of Virginia Beach; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. by the Rev. Wallace Drake in Mount Olive Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Saint's Rest Cemetery. Community Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel, in charge. The family will be at 1029 Atlantic Drive, Apt. 101.
